Overview
At the center of this week’s Institute are the Web Process Portfolios (WPPs—say it “whips”) that each participant and each team will create. These WPPs are called, respectively, the Individual Web Process Portfolio (i-WPP; “eye whip”) and Team Process Portfolio (t-WPP; “tee whip”).
All portfolio-making is done via the MIENC Digital Portfolio System. To login, enter your username (First.Last) and case-sensitive password: MLLI2008. You can change your password if you wish, upon logging in.
What do I put in my WPP?
Artifacts for your WPPs will be created as instructed by prompts in the Day-to-Day Agenda and in each Institute session/break-out planning period. You can also choose to include curriculum materials from the Web Sourcebook (this website), by downloading the respective files (for example, PDFs) or via copy-and-paste.
Click the thumbnail below for a larger version.
Nearly every page of the Web Sourcebook allows for commenting; you can start a dialog with your peers on whichever articles or curriculum documents interests you. (To comment on Sourcebook pages, no login is needed; check out the Feedback page for a list of the Most Recent Comments).
How do the Individual WPP and Team WPP fit into the MIENC Digital Portfolio System?

Organization of your files
To help you organize your files as you download them, we’ve created a “suitcase” of sorts with folders that match the respective days and subsequent day themes of the Institute. Simply download the file below and then designate it as your browser’s default download folder. You’ll still have to drag the files into their respective organizational folders, but at least all your downloads will be in a MLLI-specific place!

You will continue to work on your i-WPP and t-WPP throughout the year, following this week’s Institute. Eventually your Team will want to create its Project Planning Portfolio (more details will emerge following the Institute).
Computer requirements
You must have a working Internet connection. Also, the online portfolio editing software is dependent on the use of Mozilla’s Firefox web browser software, which is a free download from www.mozilla.com/firefox.

This all sounds really easy and FUN!
